Abstract: During the recent years there has been a revolution in computer science world-wide. New technologies have offered an increase in data transfer speeds and in data storage space. This increase however can not satisfy the demand for speed and storage space which increases more rapidly. For this reason data compression in data manipulation is very important and can be applied to any situation where data is used. With data compression storage of data requires less space and can be transferred faster. In this paper a new compression algorithm is presented. We explain how it works and we compare it to other well-known algorithms. Although this new compression algorithm is at an early stage we believe it has great potential.
